C.E.O.
Alan has had a hand in the development of over 100 podcasts. He started the website HeadStuff.org in 2014, The HeadStuff Podcast in 2015, the HeadStuff Podcast Network in 2016, the Dublin Podcast Festival in 2017 and opened The Podcast Studios in 2019. He is the current CEO of Podcasts and Stuff Limited.
Video Producer & Editor
Blessing is a Producer and Editor at The Podcast Studios, where she has worked on podcasts such as the Royal Dublin Society’s ‘Bearing Fruit’, Click and Go, and Women’s Aid’s ‘Too Into You’. She also works on voice-overs and voice-over reel production. Blessing has First Class Honours in her Masters in Journalism and Public Relations from Griffith College Dublin. Over the years, she has leveraged audiovisual storytelling to partner with stakeholders in different capacities. Her projects have been recognised with awards such as the Society of Voice Arts and Sciences (SOVAS), African Podcast & Voice Awards (APVA), and Shorty Impact Awards. She has done voice-overs for Adidas, AstraZeneca, Cartoon Network, HBO Max, Johnny Walker, UKGov, Unilever, UNICEF and WHO. And most recently produced and directed the video documentary, ‘The Desert at their Doorstep’, which was featured on CNN.
Head of Podcasts
Conor is a podcaster, producer and writer, and the Head of Podcasts at The Podcast Studios. As a published author, with a PhD in English and a decade of teaching experience, he helps podcasters to shape and tell great stories. He hosts and produces his own award-winning arts and culture podcast, Words To That Effect, which he has performed live in both Ireland and the UK. At The Podcast Studios he has edited dozens of podcasts, including shows for Met Éireann, Aldi, Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, Chadwicks, International Literature Festival Dublin, and Trinity College Dublin. Conor also works on training and development, running consultations, workshops and podcasting courses.
Marketing Manager
Claudia Grandez has a BA in Journalism from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) and a MSc in Marketing from UCD Michael Smurfit Business School. She has worked in different industries including Education, Logistics, E-commerce, and IT. Over the course of her career, she has acquired strong Marketing and Digital Marketing skills. At The Podcast Studios & HeadStuff, Claudia crafts marketing campaigns to drive inbound leads while overseeing the sales team to maximize growth and partnerships.
Producer & Editor
Dan Wilcox is a Producer & Editor from the UK. As a First-Class BA(Hon) Audio & Music Technology Graduate, Dan previously found opportunities as a freelance composer & sound engineer until expanding his experiences with previous clients, including Moonbug Entertainment, Unilever, Boost Drinks and RichardsDee. He is also an electronic musician who has created works recognized by other artists and institutions such as NTS, BBC, and Reprezent Radio. Having recently relocated to Dublin from the UK, Dan brings his expertise in crafting professional content to the table and can go beyond for The Podcast Studios’ productions.
Network Coordinator
Hilary Barry is a digital producer and Network Coordinator of The HeadStuff Podcast Network. She completed her masters in Digital Media at the University of Galway and has a BA in Music and English Literature from University College Cork. She has previously worked as a video producer for the Webby award-winning sound design podcast, Twenty Thousand Hertz, and has coordinated podcasting workshops. Hilary has also produced two of her own podcasts, Break It Down and Popcheol. As Network Coordinator, Hilary produces a wide range of podcasts on The HeadStuff Podcast Network, including Young Hot Guys, The Lovely Show, Listen I’m Delicious and many more!
Ads & Sponsorship Manager
Jack is an accomplished sales and media professional with extensive experience driving growth and building meaningful brand partnerships. Before joining HeadStuff, Jack honed his skills across diverse roles at IMAGE Media, Amenitiz, and Teleperformance. At IMAGE Media he developed a strong foundation in media sales and client relationship management, working with leading brands to deliver high-impact campaigns. His time at Amenitiz sharpened his business development expertise, focusing on creating tailored solutions to meet clients’ unique needs. At Teleperformance Jack thrived in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, refining his communication skills and strategic thinking. Currently the Ads and Sponsorships Manager at the HeadStuff Network, Jack leads innovative podcast advertising strategies, helping brands harness the power of audio to connect with engaged audiences and grow their presence.
Senior Video Editor
Julie Hassett is a producer and editor at HeadStuff. She has a BA in Film and Screen Media from UCC and a diploma in Film and TV Production from Pulse College. She has worked on a variety of media productions and over the course of her career has developed skills in audio and video editing, visual effects and scriptwriting. At HeadStuff and The Podcast Studios she has worked on audio and video podcasts including Chadwick’s Under Construction, Lateral, with Tom Scott, and HeadStuff Network show Basically .
Project & Business Development Manager
Katie Flannery graduated with a first-class BA (hons) in Journalism and New Media from the University of Limerick. Following this she has worked as a news reporter for Live95 radio, RTÉ radio and most recently as a researcher on Newstalk radio. During this time she also has been freelancing for the BBC World Service and has made 3 audio documentaries to date. Katie has extensive experience podcasting, which includes co-leading podcast workshops with Athena Media. During her time working for various news organisations, she has acquired an in-depth knowledge of the media landscape. At The Podcast Studios, Katie is in charge of designing and pitching exciting new projects; liaising with current and potential future brands and clients to optimise output for all key stakeholders. Katie is also in charge of managing many large-scale podcast/content projects, ensuring quality output that meets and exceeds the clients’ brief.
Digital Director
Matt, as our digital director and lead designer, oversees our video production and graphic design output at The Podcast Studios. This encompasses our live streams, webinars, branded content and motion graphics for social media and digital advertising.
From concept development to execution Matt works directly with clients to assess the scope of the project and explore creative routes to achieve the best result. Whether it’s podcast artwork, a multi-part web-series, or social media content, he can help you get the visual side of your project into shape.
