Terms & Conditions

By accessing and using the services of The Podcast Studios, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. In addition, when using these particular services, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services. Any participation in this service will constitute acceptance of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

This site and its components are offered for informational purposes only; this site shall not be responsible or liable for the accuracy, usefulness or availability of any information transmitted or made available via the site, and shall not be responsible or liable for any error or omissions in that information.

The Podcast Studios reserves the right to change these conditions from time to time as it sees fit and your continued use of the site and studios will signify your acceptance of any adjustment to these terms. If there are any changes to our privacy policy, we will announce that these changes have been made on our site. You are therefore advised to re-read this statement on a regular basis. If there are any changes in how we use our site customers' Personally Identifiable Information, notification by email will be made to those affected by the change.

Using the The Podcast Studios

Clients and members may, at their own discretion and expense, obtain personal insurance for loss, injury or damage that they might sustain arising from use of the studios. Clients and members use The Podcast Studios at their own discretion and accept any injury or illness brought on by use of the studios is their own responsibility.

As a client or member you agree to comply with the Rules of The Podcast Studios (outlined below) with regards to use of the facilities, opening hours and your conduct. The Podcast Studios may make reasonable changes to these rules, from time to time, provided the studios gives advance notice of these changes.

Recording Sessions

Transfer of Files

Recordings made at The Podcast Studios will be sent to clients via online transfer (or may be copied on to an external storage device provided by the client at the end of the session). Once files have been received/downloaded by clients, The Podcast Studios accepts no responsibility in any way for the loss or corruption of these files.

**Copyright Material **

It is understood that the client is responsible for any and all copyright or licensing issues. Any copyright, license fees, or royalty payments due to any other client(s), artist(s), or party(s) for their copyrighted work (including “samples”) used by the client are the responsibility of the client. The client will “hold harmless” The Podcast Studios for any action due to any of these violation(s) by the client.

Technical Difficulties

Human error, equipment, software, and computer failures, and technical difficulties (although rare) do happen from time to time. The Podcast Studios may, at its sole discretion, cancel the session and rebook the session at a mutually agreed time if technical difficulties, equipment failure(s), and/or human error factors cannot be quickly fixed.

The client accepts responsibility for the payment of any studio time which is cancelled or rescheduled due to the client’s technical difficulties, equipment failure(s), and/or human error.

Studio Bookings

Opening Hours

The Podcast Studios is open from 9am to 7pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). For bookings outside this period, please get in touch and we may be able to accomodate you.

The Podcast Studios is closed on bank holidays and for a short period over Christmas and New Year.

Payment

Payment for studio bookings can be made on our website or in person with cash or card. We can also invoice your company.

**Refunds / Cancellation Policy **

If you wish to cancel or reschedule a booking you must notify The Podcast Studios (by phone or email) 48 hours before the booking. Otherwise charges will apply as follows: 48+ hours’ notice - no charge 24-48 hours’ notice - half the booking amount charged 24 hours’ notice or less - full booking amount charged

Studio Time

The studio can be booked in hour slots, on the hour. However, we ask clients to be aware that if there is another booking directly following yours, you will need to finish up at 5 minutes to the hour to allow for the changeover.

**The Podcast Studios Membership Scheme **

All memberships are Non-Transferable & Non-Refundable.

All members must be over 16 to avail of facilities and services provided at The Podcast Studios.

**Payment **

The Podcast Studios offers a number of different levels of membership, each offering credits and a percentage discount on services. Please refer to The Podcast Studios website for details of membership schemes.

Payment for membership can be made on the site or in person with a credit or debit card. We can also invoice your company.

The Podcast Studios, at our sole discretion, provides discount membership for charities and other non-profit organisations. Please get in touch to discuss details.

Membership Period

Membership of The Podcast Studios is available all year round, and runs for one year from the date of joining (e.g. if you join on the 15 January 2020 you will remain a member until 14 January 2021).

Membership may be renewed annually, on payment of the prevailing fee and in accordance with the terms and conditions then in force.

**Credit System & Bookings **

As a member you will be assigned a number of credits (depending on the level of membership) and these are available immediately to purchase a range of services (studio time, editing, and other services). The full list of services, and the number of credits required for each, is outlined on The Podcast Studios website.

Members can also avail of a percentage discount (depending on the level of membership) on further services throughout the year of their membership. You will be provided with a discount code to access these discounts.

Credits can only be spent within the membership period. Unused credits at the end of a membership period may be brought forward to the next year, provided you renew your membership. If you do not wish to renew your membership, any unused credits will be lost.

Refunds / Cancellation Policy

Clients wishing to cancel or reschedule a booking must notify The Podcast Studios (by phone or email) 48 hours before the booking. Otherwise charges will apply as follows: 48+ hours’ notice - no charge 24-48 hours’ notice - half the booking amount/credits charged (min. 1 credit) 24 hours’ notice or less - full booking amount/credtis charged

**Termination Policy **

If members do not comply with the Rules of The Podcast Studios (see below), membership may be terminated by The Podcast Studios, without notice. This may result in the forfeiture of any remaining credits or bookings with the studios. It may also result in the forfeiture and destruction of all information associated with your account.

Rules of The Podcast Studios

Members agree to abide by the Rules of the Podcast Studio. Failure to follow these rules may result in studio sessions being cancelled (without refund) and/or the cancellation of membership.

These rules include, but are not limited to, the following prohibited actions :

Abusive behaviour, in any form, towards staff or other users of the studio (or in membership forums). This includes: rude, disrespectful and offensive behaviour, including derogatory remarks and disruptive acts amounting to verbal and emotional abuse sexually inappropriate comments and behaviour racist and discriminatory abuse threats of physical violence aggressive and violent behaviour

Criminal damage or theft of property

Smoking (including vaping or use of e-cigarettes) or the use of illegal drugs is prohibited on the premises. The consumption of alcohol (however, alcohol is permitted in studio at certain times, such as live shows and other events. Confirm with a member of staff if you are unsure).
